New Races
Someone probably already posted something like this... but Iw as discussing with someone in game about how awsome it would be to be able to play as another creature.
What I was thinking offhand was Charr expantion.
It starts off before the searing, you are a Charr who is working through the Ranks for the final invasion of Ascalon. Then the searing happens.
The New map would be north of the progressable area of the northlands, so there can be no wandering down as far as Asclon untill after the searing, after the searing tho you cannot enter the Human towns, only new Charr encampments that are placed around in little hide aways.
The progression from there would be east insted of west, as the Charr start to engulf more of the world in darkness.
Obvioously playing as the badguys has it's limitations, but think of this, scattered accross the north wall are set, different arenas, say 20. Then in those arenas are PVP Charr v Human for the holding of the wall. Every time a Charr wins a flag goes up to say that area is charr occupied, and the same for if humans win.
this way the game will have more depth as different parts of the map would be won and lost to either side.
Aside from this, theres the Dwarves, theres no mention of Elves yet, we know from Cantha that there are good Tengu... I want to be a bird!
:P
What you think?

I think that its been suggested before, alot
I also think that I personally would hate Guild Wars: Villains expansion, but some people may enjoy it. It would atleast be truely stand along.

It's not so much Villains Expansion... that was an example... (the one I thought the most about admitedly:P)
What I'd like to see is the list I made at the bottom come to light...
Dwarves
Tengu
all that Jazz...

I hope there never is any mention of Elves, as soon as they do this game will fall directly under D&D rip off scenarios. I can empathize with your interest in new races, and more character options, but Elves are a really pathetic race.
Sign me up for the Elf hater club, and hopefully they consider adding some new race options.

Personaly, I feel that Rangers are very Elvish... but just to expand that a bit more... get deeper into the natural magic.
Druids would be a nice addition thinking about it.

I believe you purchased the wrong game, sounds like WoW is for you.
If they ever add new races I'm done.

Druids as a race would be way better than Elves. Perhaps humanoids simular to the Wardens, but with a very Elvish look, kind of like Melandrus race.
If your attachment to GW is only as good as what you want in it, than go now Xiaotsu, I heard the same BS when people brang up new classes for the first time, and I bet those asses are still playing too.

I just don't see the point in a fantasy game, if all you can play is humans... everyone can play humans... we play humans in real life...
Whats so fantastic about it?

I know what you mean, role playing as a human in a fantasy world is only half way immersed ya know.
